Role Purpose:
The Head of Grants Management is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of grants at Enaon, ensuring compliance with internal policies, national and EU regulations, and timely recognition of co-financed projects. The role ensures effective coordination between Finance, Procurement, Project Management, and external authorities (e.g., OPS platform, regional authorities), and leads the transition to the new SAP4Hana system for grants management.

Key Responsibilities

Grants Strategy & Planning

• Lead the planning and allocation of grants within corporate and branch budgets.
• Align grants strategy with corporate investment plans, regulatory obligations, and project objectives.
• Monitor eligibility of expenditures and ensure compliance with co-financed project requirements.

Process Management & Improvement

• Oversee the full grant lifecycle: tender participation, procurement, contract management, certification, invoice processing, advance payments, and grant recognition.
• Standardize grants processes across all branches and subsidiaries.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements, including SAP4Hana integration, automation of interest calculations, and grant recognition.

Financial & Asset Oversight

• Supervise the posting of grants, advance payments, and vendor invoices in SAP.
• Ensure accurate recognition related to cofinanced projects in order to setup asset capitalization / depreciation and grant recognition for accounting tracking of WBS elements, asset capitalization, depreciation, and grant recognition.
• Reconcile grants data with OPS platforms, ensuring proper reporting and audit readiness.

Team Leadership & Collaboration (Internal and external collaboration)

• Lead and mentor the Grants Management team, ensuring high performance and adherence to deadlines.
• Act as liaison between Finance, Procurement, Project Management, and external authorities.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and certification authorities.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with national and EU grant rules, accounting standards (IFRS, Tax), and internal policies.
• Manage audits, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.

Systems & Technology

• Drive the implementation and adoption of SAP S4 grants cockpit and related workflows.
• Oversee integration with OPS, ESIDIS-KIMDIS, CRM systems, and other relevant platforms.
• Ensure accurate and timely digital documentation of contracts, invoices, and supporting evidence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Solid and proven experience in grants management, project finance, or public funding programs.
• Strong knowledge of EU co-financed projects, national public investment programs, and procurement law (Law 4412).
• Experience with SAP (preferably SAP4Hana), ServiceNow, or equivalent ERP systems along with MS suite.
• Proven experience in process standardization, automation, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek.
