About The Role
We are looking to strengthen our team in
Greece
with a passionate and experienced
Senior Java Backend Developer
. This is a
hybrid position
, requiring
two days per week in our office
.

As an agile software company, our daily work revolves around testing, continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, and backlog refinement. Our backend services are primarily built in
Java
, leveraging modern frameworks and best practices to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

You will work in a cross-functional team that owns and maintains critical backend components of our platform. Together with your product manager and colleagues, you will design and implement features that help our customers manage their renewable portfolios in a constantly evolving energy market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java
• Implement robust and efficient solutions for high-concurrency environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and scalability
• Work with Kubernetes and GitHub Actions for deployment and automation
• Stay curious and continuously improve your skills through internal and external learning opportunities

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and REST architecture
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with concurrency and multithreading
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testing
• Optional: Knowledge of Kubernetes and GitHub Actions
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with your team
