We are currently seeking a
Senior Java Backend Engineer
.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Java (17+) and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Azure and Kubernetes/AKS
  • Solid understanding of REST and gRPC
  • Ability to use both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems
  • Proficiency with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with caching tools like Redis
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests

Work Conditions

  • Employment Type: We welcome both employees and freelancers (but won't consider subcontracting agencies). This is a full-time position for EU citizens residing in Greece.
  • Location: This is a hybrid role, so priority will be given to candidates based in Athens who can work on-site when needed.
  • Compensation: We consider each candidate's compensation expectations, which we ask for during the application process. The final selection is based on a combination of qualifications, experience, and salary/rate.
  • Working Days: Aligned with the standard Greek work schedule.
