Agribusiness Specialist – Relationship Manager

.

This role requires a solid background in agribusiness and outstanding communication skills, along with a passion for representing the members of the European Cotton sector ( EUCOTTON).

Job Responsibilities

• Serves as the
  primary contact
  for ECA's office & Presidency , engaging with both internal and external stakeholders on all issues related to the Association, including those that are highly

confidential or critical & ensures effective communication while following up appropriately.

• Offers
  administrative coordination and oversight
  , establishing work priorities and guaranteeing that deadlines are adhered to.
• Oversees a range of
  special projects & events
  , some of which may significantly impact the organization.
• Stays informed about
  EU agricultural legislation and institutions
  , including reports on legislative changes and proposals, related policy reforms, and monitoring the Commission's vision for agriculture.
• Engages with NGOs, researchers, educators, and government or business leaders on topics concerning EU farming and agriculture.
• Tracks and evaluates cotton global market trends, competitor actions, and feedback from ECA's members to pinpoint areas for enhancement and growth.
• Comprehends
  ESG priorities
  and is capable of integrating them into business transformation initiatives.
• Aids the President in
  fulfilling external obligations
  related to service on external boards, committees, professional associations, conferences and other groups.
• Conducts research, analyzes data, and compiles research
  reports.
• Collaborates effectively, fostering and sustaining
  positive relationships
  with all staff members and contacts both within and outside the organization.

Education Requirements & Job Experience/Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience,  ideally focused on
Agribusiness

:
Agricultural Consulting, Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics etc.,

or a closely related discipline.

• Proven proficiency in stakeholder engagement,
project management, and business development

within the agricultural industry.

• A solid understanding of
sustainable agriculture

, value chain development, and emerging trends that enhance agribusiness competitiveness is highly sought after.

• Exceptional
communication skills

(both written and verbal)
in English

, along with a high level of proficiency in
Microsoft Office

(Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). .

• Strong
organizational abilities

that demonstrate the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, with a keen attention to detail.

•
Advanced interpersonal skills,

adaptability, and the capability to thrive in a team-oriented setting, collaborating with staff at all levels as well as stakeholders, including board members, external partners, organizations, public authorities, policymakers, and regional and international institutions, among others.
