Java Software Engineer

What you'll do:

• Lead development teams to deliver high-quality Java applications, guiding through all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to junior developers and team members
• Work closely with clients to analyze their requirements, recommend solutions, and lead the technical direction of projects
• Architect, design and implement complex scalable and maintainable solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
• Participate in the development of key features, optimizing performance and scalability as necessary
• Ensure code quality through regular reviews and adherence to best practices, performance optimization, and security considerations
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance on technical solutions & system architecture
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure expectations are aligned and project milestones are met

What you'll bring:

• At least (2) years of relevant professional experience in Software Development and Java related technologies
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in Java development with a deep understanding of OOP, Spring Framework (including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security) and related technologies
• Proven experience in leading development teams and executing technical lead responsibilities
• Extensive experience in designing and creating technical documentation, particularly using microservices architecture
• Proficiency in working with relational databases. Familiarity with non-relational databases is a plus
• Experience with client-server architecture, service integration (SOAP/REST) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and high-performing solutions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express ideas in a concise and professional manner (verbally and in writing, both in English & in Greek)
• Previous experience in customer-facing consulting roles is a plus
• Be familiar with version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN), task tracking systems (e.g. Jira) and CI/CD pipelines
