With the Athens office being one of the largest, hosting around 640 employees working from the center of Athens for the rest of the world. 

Position Summary

We are looking for an Accountant to support our Consolidators & BSP team.The Accountant will report to the acting Consolidators & BSP team Team Leader located in our Athens office. The role will also have close collaboration with our team located in Sweden.The ideal candidate has a proven record in multinational company(ies), has an eye for detail and the ability to multitask.

You will:

• Ensure all invoices are booked on time.
• Communication with the consolidators & IATA to resolve any differences.
• Daily accounting entries in the ERP system (D365).
• Proceed with payments to the consolidators on a daily basis.
• Ensure weekly process of bank entries in the ERP system.
• Frequent reconciliation for consolidators & IATA outstanding balances.
• Bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
• Ensure the approval flow is correct in the relevant system and assist with any identified issues.
• Support and perform tasks in the month-end and year-end close process.
• Propose automations and potential changes in procedures and ways to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Master course and/or relevant certification (e.g. ACCA, CMA) will be considered a plus.
• Working Experience of 3+ years in accounting roles.
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and good understanding of financial statements.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and/or Gsheets.
• Experience in working in an international group with IC transactions will be considered as an asset.
• Dynamic personality, creative, innovative, with excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
