A leading consulting firm focused on delivering high-quality services to public sector entities: Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements for public sector clients in accordance with applicable legislation
  • Development of financial reports and other deliverables aligned with project-specific contractual and operational requirements
  • Handling accounting and tax-related inquiries from both clients and team members, providing targeted advisory support
  • Supervision and guidance of a 7-member accounting team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality deliverables
  • Advisory support on accounting matters
  • Continuous monitoring of updates in public sector accounting legislation
  • Management of client and public authority communications
  • Ensuring adherence to deadlines and conducting quality control checks across the team

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a consulting firm and/or public sector entities
  • Excellent command of accounting software and ERP systems
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA, CMA, Dip.IFRS, Cert.IPSAS) will be considered a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of Public Sector Accounting will be considered an asset
  • Certified Accountant License (Class A) will be considered a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
  • Responsibility and confidentiality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Fluency in English
