Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Java to design, develop, and optimize large-scale backend systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high‑performance, scalable, and reliable services, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality backend services using Java and related technologies.
  • Architect and implement scalable microservices , APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Product, DevOps, QA, and Frontend—to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement long‑term solutions.
  • Drive best practices for coding standards, CI/CD, observability, and automation.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and technology roadmap decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of backend development experience , with strong focus on Java.
  • Expertise in Java 8+ , Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs , microservices, and distributed system design.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines , Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Solid experience with caching, messaging queues (Kafka), and asynchronous processing.
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reactive programming (e.g., Spring WebFlux, Reactor).
  • Familiarity with event‑driven architectures.
  • Exposure to API Gateways, service mesh, and container orchestration at scale.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
  • Contribution to open‑source projects is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.
  • Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable working in an agile environment.
