We're seeking a Technical Team Lead to own the day-to-day technical support of a mission-critical banking application, coordinate integrations across subsystems, steer API design and drive end-to-end delivery of new releases (from design to testing and production).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prioritize the Application Support team's workload (installations, technical configuration, SQL/log investigation, integrations with other subsystems)
  • Serve as the technical liaison with adjacent banking systems and coordinate interoperability/integration flows
  • Align and document the technical design of APIs for the core application and integrated back-end systems.
  • Provide technical project management for new releases: planning, tracking, QA/UAT, and final handover
  • Own the deployment schedule in collaboration with Business/Change teams
  • Coordinate across multiple business units and technical teams to align scope, timelines, and dependencies
  • Maintain close collaboration with the external vendor developing the application
  • Work closely with in-house business analysts and the application's technical directorate
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents quickly; drive root-cause analysis and preventative actions
  • Manage delivery and day-to-day operations via Jira
  • Complete and maintain technical forms/documentation per bank processes and controls
  • Execute and oversee daily operational tasks to keep environments healthy and compliant

Requirements & Qualifications:

Must - have skills

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in enterprise application support/operations, including 2-3 years in team leadership
  • Strong ability to read/analyze SQL logs and write basic SQL scripts
  • Working knowledge of service design, SOAP/REST, API lifecycle, and documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI)
  • Familiarity with IIS administration and networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, firewalls)
  • Proven experience coordinating releases & deployments in regulated environments (preferably banking)
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills (Business, IT, Vendors)
  • Tools: Jira (must-have), Confluence, Postman (or similar)
  • Professional proficiency in Greek and English
  • Strong communication skills

Nice – to - have skills

  • Exposure to ITIL (Incident/Problem/Change), UAT cycles, and production cutovers
  • Prior web development experience—ideally with .NET Framework (e.g., ASP.NET MVC/WebForms), IIS-hosted apps, and basic front-end integration (HTML/JS). Experience migrating legacy .NET apps or interfacing with them is a plus
  • Prior experience in banking systems or other high-availability, security-sensitive environments
