Software Engineering Team Lead (Contract) – Greece / Hybrid

I'm currently supporting a major international GameTech organisation who are scaling their engineering capability in Greece. They're building next-generation entertainment platforms used by millions of players worldwide — and looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to help drive technical delivery and team growth.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll combine strong .NET engineering expertise with people leadership and architectural influence. You'll guide a talented team through the design, build, and rollout of complex distributed systems that power large-scale digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Oversee the delivery of complex backend systems from concept to production.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions around scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring clean, efficient and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with product, QA and design teams to align priorities and deliverables.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices across development cycles.

(Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging is a strong plus.)

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a senior or lead software engineer with .NET / C#.
  • Strong background in microservices and modern software architecture.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and CI/CD pipelines.
