The I-SENSE Group of ICCS is looking for a Research Associate / Technical Project Manager to join our rapidly growing Extended Reality (XR) Division, where state-of-the-art XR technologies meet the latest advances in Generative AI. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of immersive technologies, human–machine interaction, and cutting-edge AI research. We're seeking a talented and dynamic individual to manage European Commission (EC)-funded projects while contributing to grant proposal writing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Manage and coordinate EC-funded research and innovation projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, deliverables, and reporting.

· Contribute to the design and development of XR applications enriched with generative AI processes within Digital Twin platforms.

· Support proposal writing for Horizon Europe and other EU funding programmes.

· Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers to integrate AI-driven features into immersive XR environments.

· Engage with project partners, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure smooth communication and successful project execution.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, XR, AI, or a related field.

· Proven experience in managing EU-funded projects (Horizon 2020/Europe, Digital Europe, etc.).

· Excellent proposal-writing skills and familiarity with EC funding schemes.

· Understanding of XR technologies (VR/AR/MR) and/or generative AI tools and workflows.

· Strong organizational abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Education and Experience:

· Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field required.

· At least three years of experience in project management, technical, or business development roles.

· Familiarity with working on sustainability, smart manufacturing, circular economy and tracing, robotics, or software development projects is preferred.

· Hands-on experience with software development, web development and databases is desirable.
