Job Purpose
What you will do
  • Perform risk surveys for property risks (industrial & commercial) all over Greece and Cyprus territories, according to the requests of the Underwriters and the CUO
  • Provide risk survey reports and risk assessment reviews for property risks; Check risk quality according to the local and international design standards, following also the company technical guidelines
  • Recommend loss prevention measures to improve the risk quality, and optimize the underwriting process (ie. deductibles, coverage limits, exclusions)
  • Provide technical consulting to the Claims department regarding loss adjusting reports, and occasionally visit the loss sites
  • Provide underwriting consulting to the other business lines of P&C sector and contribute to strategic corporate projects
  • Consult external clients regarding technical issues on fire safety and loss control
  • Serve as the point of contact between the company and the client, contributing to excellent client service
  • Exhibit strong technical expertise and follow continuous professional development and company's certification routes
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the field of either Civil & Structural/Mechanical & Electrical/Chemical. Related Master's degree is a plus
  • 5 years of professional experience in similar role
  • Proven knowledge of Fire Safety Standards (design codes NFPA, EN), and Health & Safety standards
  • Proven knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing Processes and Business Interruption aspects
  • Knowledge and application of Nat Cat rating tools, PML/EML calculation
  • Basic Underwriting Knowledge
  • Experience in Loss control engineering
  • Engineering design experience in the field of either Civil & Structural/Mechanical & Electrical/Chemical/Industrial Production/Inspection & Certification
  • Site supervision experience in construction or industrial plant
  • Excellent Knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, Google Earth
  • Communication, Negotiation and Time Management skills
