ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a prominent manufacturing company based near Thessaloniki with over 30 years of presence and a strong export orientation, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the following position
Procurement Manager (Ref. 5958/PM/ESS/GR)
The Executive reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for developing and executing the company's procurement strategy, optimizing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-efficiency, and fostering seamless collaboration between internal departments and the production process. This role plays a critical part in enhancing operational performance, reducing costs, and supporting the company's strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage with reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and manage supplier contracts to ensure optimal value and compliance.
  • Approve and oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and propose corrective actions where needed.
  • Lead the procurement budgeting process, including cost planning for consumables and spare parts.
  • Track and analyze performance against budget and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (production, finance, operations) to ensure alignment on needs and timelines.
  • Ensure procurement processes adhere to internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to support decision-making, planning, and project tracking.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team through training, coaching, and performance management.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree will be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end procurement processes and supplier negotiations.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Experience with Entersoft ERP will be considered an asset.
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and collaborating effectively across departments.
