Position

We are looking for a Shipping Operator (M/F) for the Bulk department of our BRS Shipbrokers' Athens office.

Your main missions and responsibilities

Operators work in collaboration with shipbrokers and oversee the operational and administrative management of vessels under established charter contracts (time charter, voyage/spot charter, and COA).

We are part of a European (London, Hamburg, Geneva, Paris, Copenhagen) and international team with whom we communicate daily.

  • Coordination with the CP Desk in Athens for the preparation of charter parties and addenda
  • Monitoring/sending of ETA notices or delivery notices
  • Verification and monitoring of voyage instructions for loading and unloading
  • Monitoring the voyage / COA and managing all contractual/CP obligations and any issues that may arise during the voyage
  • Management of potential disputes and contract closure with counterparties (laytimes, claims, etc.)
  • Preparation of brokerage invoicing/commission in coordination with the invoicing department.

Your profile

  • Previous experience in operations department not prerequisite
  • Familiar with shipping industry
  • Fluent English required
  • Excel
  • Rigor, efficiency, customer service focus
