Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

We are currently looking for a Practical Mechanic to join our Engineering team at the iconic Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens.

As a Practical Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical systems and equipment throughout the hotel. This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You will contribute directly to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by ensuring all engineering facilities operate efficiently and reliably.

What You Will Do:

• Perform daily inspections of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) rooms physically and via Building Management Systems (BMS), maintaining detailed records of machinery conditions.
• Maintain, repair, and service all mechanical systems, infrastructure, and equipment installed in the hotel.
• Ensure all plant rooms are kept clean, safe, and operational.
• Estimate and order materials and equipment needed to complete projects.
• Assist and sometimes oversee the work of junior staff or helpers involved in maintenance tasks.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest and employee maintenance inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Support preventive maintenance in guestrooms and public areas to minimize breakdowns.
• Assist in major shutdowns and repairs under the direction of the Assistant Engineering Manager.
• Keep accurate logs and reports of maintenance activities and materials used.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fires or power failures in accordance with hotel protocols.
• Adhere strictly to all hotel policies regarding health, safety, fire regulations, and hygiene.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, training sessions, and hotel-wide activities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Engineering Manager or Engineering Director.
