About PENTAGONBRIEF

PENTAGONBRIEF is an early-stage SaaS platform that delivers tailored Brand Strategy Plans to small businesses worldwide through AI-powered consulting sessions. We've already built Version 1 and are now preparing to scale and evolve into the go-to AI strategy partner for small businesses.

We are looking for our first in-house Full-Stack Developer (Python + JS) to join us on this innovative journey.

Your Role

As our first in-house Full-Stack Developer, you will help improve Version 1 and build Version 2, working closely with our established external dev partners who will ensure a smooth V1 to V2 knowledge transfer. Gradually, you'll take more ownership of the technical roadmap and play a key role in building our future internal tech team as the company grows.

  1. First 3–4 months:
    stabilize Version 1 (WordPress/WooCommerce + JS frontend + Python backend) while learning the codebase. You'll be mentored and onboarded by the professionals who developed Version 1, ensuring continuity as we prepare for Version 2 together.
  2. From month 4–5:
    move into Version 2 + FastAPI, Postgres, async), taking a central role in architecture decisions, tool selection, and laying the groundwork for a future tech team. You'll work with AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI API) to power application logic.

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years' experience with Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with a modern component-based framework (e.g., React, , or similar).
  • Familiarity with schema validation/dynamic forms (Zod, Felte or similar).
  • Knowledge of asynchronous relational databases (e.g. Postgres + async).
  • Ability to debug, optimize and refactor existing code.
  • Strong interest in AI/LLM integrations and AI-powered application development.

Nice-to-Have

  • WordPress/WooCommerce familiarity.
  • Experience with AI/LLM APIs, third-party integrations (payments, APIs).
  • DevOps basics (Docker, CI/CD, monitoring).
  • SaaS or startup experience.

Our working style

We work as a lean, focused startup team with strong external and internal collaborators, working remote, hybrid, or on-site depending on their role. Our network also includes partners in other countries. You'll start remote with daily stand-ups and later work on-site or hybrid in Athens.
