Full Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Strategic Projects team in Athens. A day in the life of a Full Stack Software Engineer at Qualco includes:

• Participating in the design and implementation phases of distributed systems using a Java backend;
• Developing frontend interfaces using Angular and React );
• Developing and implementing either in-house solutions or integrations to connect internal and third-party components;
• Creating, exposing, and consuming APIs for individual components;
• Implementing and executing automated tests, including unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests;
• Troubleshooting and resolving functional and performance issues;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
  

• A University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or related fields;
• Relevant graduate studies will be considered a plus;
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering positions;
• Solid experience in designing, implementing, and documenting REST APIs, as well as consuming third-party REST APIs;
• Experience in working with various databases and ORMs;
• Hands-on experience with server-side programming and MVC frameworks;
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.;
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka);
• Good knowledge of Java, Spring and Quarkus Frameworks;
• Good knowledge in frontend development with Angular and React );
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team, adapting to different technologies and skill sets;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet project deadlines;
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
