As Linen & Laundry Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Housekeeping Department. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and quality for all linen and laundry items used throughout the hotel. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute directly to an exceptional guest experience and help uphold the distinguished reputation of Conrad Athens The Ilisian.n.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the linen and laundry services, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to quality control standards.
- Oversee all stages of linen processing, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of hotel linens and staff uniforms, ensuring optimal cleanliness and presentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies; monitor usage levels and coordinate timely reordering in line with operational needs.
- Train, supervise, and support laundry staff to ensure compliance with hotel procedures, brand standards, and service expectations.
- Regularly inspect the condition of all laundered items and promptly report any damages or replacement needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Enforce strict compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations, ensuring a clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to support efficient room turnovers and timely availability of clean linens for guest rooms and public areas.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of laundry equipment in coordination with the Engineering Department.
- Liaise with vendors and external laundry services when required, ensuring consistency and cost control.
- Prepare and maintain departmental reports including usage, productivity, and damage reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end laundry service.
- Strong understanding of linen and laundry operations, including washing techniques and materials.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Ability to lead a team and train staff in linen and laundry procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to laundry operations.
