About the Role
As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the precision manufacturing of high-technology components used in critical aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals early in their machining careers who are eager to develop their technical skills in a demanding, growth-oriented environment. You will work alongside experienced machinists and engineers, gaining exposure to cutting-edge CNC processes and the unique requirements of the aerospace industry. This is a full-time position located in Koropi.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and operation of both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision aerospace components
- Load raw materials and accurate position workpieces using vises, fixtures, and zero-point clamping systems to ensure repeatability and accuracy
- Run production jobs according to detailed setup sheets and work instructions, ensuring all parts meet strict aerospace quality standards
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and visual checks to verify parts against engineering drawings and tolerances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine area, including performing daily machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Learn to interpret complex aerospace drawings and develop proficiency in GD&T
- Accurately record production output, quality checks, and any nonconformances in both paper and digital logs
Qualifications
- Technical school diploma or relevant vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- 1–3 years of hands-on CNC machining or manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers; willingness to learn advanced inspection techniques
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to read and follow technical work instructions, part drawings, and safety procedures
- Eagerness to learn from experienced team members and take on increasing responsibilities over time
- Demonstrated reliability, good communication skills, and a positive, proactive attitude toward teamwork and professional growth
Required Skills
Basic understanding of measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers; willingness to learn advanced inspection techniques.
Preferred Skills
Technical school diploma or relevant vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
