The role of an 
IT Infrastructure Domain Architect
 focuses on delivering and managing infrastructure solutions on behalf of our client in the Banking/Insurance sector. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and delivering infrastructure solutions, with a focus on architecting and implementing modern technologies. The role involves embedding security best practices in every solution and maintaining the uninterrupted operation of services and platforms, whether hosted in data centers or on public cloud providers.

As an 
IT Infrastructure Domain Architect
, you will take a hands-on approach to architecting and delivering advanced technologies. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of solutions to improve standards and security frameworks. You will work closely with the client's Group IT Security and IT teams to implement new and existing technologies, policies, and procedures, ensuring system availability and leading relevant initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and deployment of new or existing technologies to improve ways of working and overall efficiency, with expertise in both on-premises and cloud platforms. This includes operating systems, virtualization, database security, networking, firewalling, cloud security (Azure, AWS/GCP), and containerization technologies such as Openshift/Kubernetes.
• Manage and implement Application Servers (IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache/Tomcat) and apply advanced architectural design knowledge, specifically in 2Tier/3Tier applications.
• Ensure infrastructure and operational services adhere to agreed-upon security and service levels, overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of security implementations.
• Oversee and coordinate technical project management for the client's IT unit projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Deep understanding of Windows operating systems and beyond).
• Proficiency in domain services, relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL), and application-database connectivity.
• Basic understanding of networking (Firewall, Load Balancing, Routing).
• Strong knowledge of hypervisor standards (VMWare/Hyper-V).

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the Banking/Insurance or Consulting industry.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
• Proven expertise in infrastructure architecture and managing cross-functional IT projects involving large teams.
• Fluency in English and strong team collaboration skills.

Additionally, preferred qualifications include:

• Knowledge of system coding and scripting (Python, Perl, Go) for administrative purposes.
• Proficiency in Java scripting and REST API.
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing tool.
• Extensive experience with cloud services such as MS Azure, Amazon, and IBM Bluemix.
• Experience in administering and configuring container platforms like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
