As our new Chief Accountant, you'll play a key role in overseeing the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring compliance, leading audits, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. This is your chance to work at the intersection of finance, leadership, and global consumer brands like Mentos, Trident, and of course, Chupa Chups.

Your core responsibilities at a glance:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance.
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.
• Ensure My Data compliance.

The ideal recipe for our new Chief Accountant:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar role, with a minimum of 8 years in accounting and financial management.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Systems Expertise: Excellent knowledge of SAP.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Values: High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulatory changes.
• Nice to Have: Experience working with Shared Service Centers.
