Responsibilities:

The Transportation Manager is accountable for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely execution of all transportation activities across Greece for both Snacks and Beverages. This includes: managing international & domestic inbound deliveries, outbound customer shipments, and intercompany stock transfers, while overseeing the performance of transportation service providers and ensuring full compliance with PepsiCo standards and local regulations.

This role plays a key part in supporting customer satisfaction, optimizing logistics operations, reducing costs, and driving continuous improvement across the transportation network.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

    Lead, coach, and develop a team of Transportation Planners, responsible for dispatching, routing, and tracking transport vehicles and shipments across the country.
  • Operations Management:

    Plan, coordinate, and execute all transportation-related activities for inbound, outbound, and intercompany flows, ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.
  • Internal Collaboration:

    Act as the primary liaison for transportation across key functions including Sales, MAKE, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Customer Collaboration, ensuring smooth communication and rapid issue resolution.
  • Customer Service:

    Address and resolve transportation-related issues, including shipment delays, complaints, and discrepancies to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Policy & Resource Optimization:

    Design and implement operational policies and best practices that optimize the use of equipment, facilities, and personnel to meet or exceed department KPIs.
  • Vendor & Contract Management:

    Negotiate, manage, and monitor performance of transportation service providers (3PLs), suppliers, and logistics partners, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Financial Oversight:

    Analyze transportation costs and manage budgets to ensure alignment with financial targets, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Compliance & Safety:

    Ensure full compliance with local transportation laws, PepsiCo's Code of Conduct, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Digital Transformation:

    Drive the implementation and enhancement of IT and digital solutions (e.g., TMS, real-time tracking, analytics tools) to improve visibility, performance, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Logistics or Transportation Management, preferably within an international or multinational environment.
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; a master's degree is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid PC literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); experience with ERP and TMS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Greek is required.
