Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Team at Cubico Sustainable Investments as an Accounting Assistant for Cubico Greece. 

Provide comprehensive accounting support to the Senior Accountant and collaborate closely with the Legal team and Asset Management Team. Ensure accurate financial records, compliance with Greek GAAP, and timely reporting, supporting the business in achieving operational and strategic objectives. 

Job Requirements

  • University degree in accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous entry-level experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek GAAP and basic understanding of local tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with accounting software (Business Central 365 preferred).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, motivation, and a collaborative approach.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with an open and proactive approach to sharing information.

Job Responsibilities
Support all aspects of accounting and finance activities for Cubico Greece Group of Entities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements, and contributing to monthly Group reporting.

  • Maintain financial ledgers and accounting processes in accordance with Greek GAAP and Cubico policies.
  • Prepare monthly Group reporting and local statutory accounts.
  • Collaborate with external statutory auditors, accountants, and consultants (including tax advisors).
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable sub-ledgers, including reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash balances and perform related reconciliations.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Support tax compliance and assist with local regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with company lawyers and local banks as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Maintain master files and initiate relevant processes.
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality, and manage workload to meet deadlines.
