About The Role

As a Facilities Management Specialist, you will be part of our team and responsible for ensuring that all building systems, infrastructure, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.

Major Accountabilities

  • Ensures compliance with local regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
  • Conducts regular inspections to identify and promptly address safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for facility repairs, renovations, and installations.
  • Assists in office moves, renovations, and space optimization projects.
  • Monitors and manages facility systems and maintains facility-related documentation, permits, and inspection reports.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Monitors and reports on facility-related metrics (e.g., energy use, waste diversion, carbon footprint).
  • Prepares and implements the annual budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility management, operations, or maintenance coordination.
  • Strong technical understanding, knowledge of facility maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD will be considered as an asset.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong capabilities in cost control.
  • Effective response to emergency situations.
