The Role

As a
Senior Database Developer
, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining the company's database systems that power its SaaS products. You'll ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of critical data infrastructures supporting millions of transactions and real-time analytics. Working closely with software engineers, data engineers, and product teams, you will architect database solutions that meet demanding business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex
    MSSQL Server
    databases supporting SaaS applications
  • Write and optimize
    T-SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
  • Design and tune
    database schemas
    , indexes, and queries for maximum efficiency and scalability
  • Implement
    ETL processes
    , data integration pipelines, and performance monitoring systems
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all environments
  • Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to support deployments and version management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production database issues
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and contribute to best practices in database development

Requirements

  • 5+ years
    of professional experience as a
    Database Developer or Database Engineer
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
    or newer)
  • Proven experience with
    T-SQL programming
    , query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of
    database design principles
    , normalization, indexing, and partitioning
  • Experience with
    ETL tools
    , data warehousing concepts, and integration services (SSIS or similar)
  • Familiarity with
    backup/recovery strategies
    , high availability (HA/DR), and replication
  • Solid understanding of application-database interaction and API integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a hybrid, cross-functional environment
