Pharmakas Quarries, a leading international group of companies specializing in the Construction Materials Industry, is seeking to recruit a Quarry Production Officer based in Nicosia.

The Position:

  • Manage day-to-day quarry operations such as drilling, blasting, loading with a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of product quality.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules to ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding land reclamation and environmental stewardship.
  • Train and mentor quarry staff to ensure competency and adherence to company standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in quarry operations or a similar role will be considered as an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of quarry processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
