ISD S.A., Athens is looking for a highly motivated
Senior Electronics Engineer
with industrial experience in the design of complex analog and digital circuits, including schematic capture, PCB layout, rapid prototyping and test to join its electronics R&D section in Athens. This is a long-term full-time position open to candidates that are able to work on-site in a highly competitive and innovative environment alongside major European partners in the semiconductors, aerospace and defense industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, development and test of complex
    Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
    electronics and custom hardware solutions according to requirements by following the high-speed, high-frequency and low noise multi-layer PCB design and layout constraints.

  • Drives component selection, BOM management, schematic capture, prototyping and documentation.

  • Modeling and simulation of circuit designs for analysis and performance.

  • Collaborates with multi-discipline engineering teams in terms of system architecture, software, firmware, mechanical, harnessing, integration and test.

  • Leads
    a small team of electronics engineers on the design, simulation, analysis, testing and integration of custom hardware to achieve the product's performance, production, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
    Coaching
    of junior engineers as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor, Dipl. Ing or MSc/MEng
    degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.

  • PCB design
    experience using any of the industry standard CAD tools (
    Altium,
    Cadence, Mentor, KiCad, Fusion).

  • Seniority:
    Senior
    level possessing a minimum of
    5 years
    of proven experience in board and PCBA design for commercial, telecom, industrial or defense applications.
    Junior (entry-level) CVs will not be considered.

  • Experience in designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through verification using FPGAs, processors, SOMs, DRAM interfaces (DDR), multi-Gbps interfaces (LVDS, LVPECL, USB, Ethernet etc.), low speed interfaces (I2C, SPI/QSPI, JTAG, UART), data converters (ADC, DAC), PLL based clocking networks, analog conditioning circuits using op-amps (filters, gain blocks) and power management components (DC-DC converters, linear voltage regulators).

  • Good knowledge of analog circuit simulators such as LTSpice, PSpice, IBIS modelling, Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) simulations.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (CEFR level B minimum)

  • Fulfilled military obligations for the male candidates.

  • Highly motivated individual, capable of autonomous work and conscious about the delivery of the designs in a timely manner by respecting the design requirements, industry standards and quality procedures as applicable.
