Mercier Consultancy MD is seeking a proactive German Social Media Content Moderator to join our team in Athens. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing user-generated content across various social media platforms, ensuring that interactions are respectful and aligned with community standards. This position is crucial in maintaining a positive and engaging online community for our German-speaking users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Moderate and review social media content in German to ensure compliance with established community guidelines
  • Engage with users by answering comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify and escalate inappropriate content or user behavior to relevant teams
  • Monitor content trends and user interactions to provide valuable insights that enhance moderation practices
  • Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to improve content strategies and community engagement efforts
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in social media and best practices in content moderation

Requirements

  • Fluency in German (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in English is a plus
  • Experience in social media moderation or community management is preferred
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their community standards
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address and manage sensitive situations successfully
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team
  • Attention to detail with the capability to evaluate content quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and basic computer applications is a plus
