For our office in Athens, we are looking for a
Data Engineer
with strong expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines, administering
Microsoft Fabric
, and applying
Medallion architecture
principles to design scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on engineering skills with a deep understanding of
OneLake
,
Microsoft Purview
, and modern data governance, enabling the business to transform raw data into actionable insights.

Main Responsibilities

• Fabric Administration & Governance
  : Administer and manage
  Microsoft Fabric
  workspaces, capacities, and environments, ensuring compliance, security, and performance optimization.
• OneLake Data Management
  : Leverage
  OneLake
  as a unified data lake to centralize storage, simplify access, and enable collaboration across all data layers.
• Medallion Architecture Implementation
  : Design and implement Bronze–Silver–Gold data layers, ensuring data quality, scalability, and reusability across the enterprise.
• Data Governance & Compliance
  : Utilize Microsoft Purview to ensure metadata management, lineage tracking, and data security across the data estate.
• Data Pipeline Development
  : Design, build, and maintain scalable and automated data pipelines to support diverse business requirements.
• Data Integration
  : Ensure seamless ingestion, transformation, and integration of data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Data Quality & Reliability
  : Implement validation, monitoring, and observability processes to guarantee accuracy, trustworthiness, and consistency.
• Optimization & Performance
  : Continuously tune and optimize data workflows for cost-efficiency, speed, and reliability.
• Collaboration
  : Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to design solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
• Documentation & Standards
  : Develop and maintain detailed documentation of processes, pipelines, and architectural designs, promoting best practices across the organization.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in
  Microsoft Fabric administration
  and engineering, including governance, capacity management, and security.
• Hands-on expertise with
  OneLake
  for unified data lake management and collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of
  Microsoft Purview
  for governance, compliance, and lineage tracking.
• Experience implementing
  Medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold layers)
  for scalable data solutions.
• Holding a
  "Microsoft Fabric Engineer Associate" certification
  is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of
  Microsoft Azure services
  , such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
• Proficiency in
  Python
  and
  SQL
  for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with
  big data frameworks
  (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and real-time data processing/streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and data governance frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of optimizing large-scale data workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a mindset for working across multi-disciplinary teams.
