About the job:
Audit Team Leader
We are seeking for an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Audit Team Leader to join Group Internal Audit, as member of the "Operational, Market, Liquidity Risk & Capital Management" audit team. This is a lead role, ideal for candidates with a background in internal audit leadership, who are confident in driving audit projects end-to-end and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of risk-based audits in the areas of Market, Liquidity, IRRBB Risks and Capital Adequacy.
- Execute and report of risk-based Market & Liquidity Risk Management audits in compliance with the Regulatory framework, day to day administration of the audit projects, drafting of deliverables and maintenance of the audit working papers, communication of the audit scope and the audit results and sign-off the audit report along with the supervisor in charge.
- Conduct and supervise audits / assessments covering Market & Liquidity Risk and all included areas, ie interest rate risk, fx risk, commodity risk, equity risk, IRRBB, CSRBB, liquidity risk, funding risk and other risks such as ESG risks, including models' development and validation processes/areas, capital adequacy calculation (Pillar I, II, III), ICAAP, stress testing framework, risk and capital strategy, recovery and resolution.
- Provide consulting services and expert advice on Risk Management policies and procedures as well as on technology projects, new products/services and processes.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and lead the follow-up process
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit methodology and team development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or Risk Management
- Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Data science, Applied Statistics or relevant field will be considered as an asset
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Market & Liquidity and other types of risks, preferably in ESG risks, as well as Capital Adequacy (Pillar I, II, III) policies, methodologies and models, processes and systems
- Excellent knowledge of the risk management and internal governance framework including the banking regulatory framework (eg CRD, CRR, BRRD, Act 2577/2016)
- Strong analytical skills, including being comfortable handling large datasets
- Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as ACL, Python and MS Power BI and / or MS SQL will be considered as an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all hierarchical levels.
