As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking to strengthen our Group Finance Team with a highly motivated Group Tax Manager, based in Athens.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to take ownership of Group tax matters and related projects. This is a standalone role, ideal for a tax professional who enjoys both strategic advisory and hands-on compliance work.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the Group's tax strategy, managing external advisors and local tax experts, to ensure optimal tax outcomes and full compliance across all jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide tax advice on business initiatives, cross-border transactions, and corporate structuring.
· Identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities.
· Oversee tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
· Support & review transfer pricing policy, documentation and intercompany arrangements.
· Develop and implement the Group's tax governance framework, policies, and processes.
· Manage relationships and workflow with external advisors, local tax experts and auditors
· Laise with Group consolidation reporting to ensure accurate Group tax reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.
· Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the Group
· Monitor and evaluate ongoing and emerging tax issues, identifying potential risks, opportunities and implications for the Group, and communicating these to Management
· Oversee tax compliance and filings, either directly or via external advisors and local tax experts. Support and review local tax functions, ensuring compliance, timely and accurate filing/payment across jurisdictions.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law.
· Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ADIT, or equivalent) will be considered a strong asset.
· 7–12 years of relevant experience in a reputable international audit/advisory firm or in a large multinational group structure.
· Solid understanding of Greek tax law. Prior experience with Cypriot or other international tax frameworks will be considered an asset.
· Excellent communication and business partnering skills – able to translate complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders.
· Experience in corporate income tax compliance, transfer pricing, and withholding taxation.
· Proven ability to manage multiple entities and jurisdictions in a group context.
· Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.

· Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax data and multi-entity transactions.
· Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and compliance mindset.
· Proven ability to navigate tax matters in regulated environments such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or other sectors with mixed VAT regimes and cross-border operations.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with finance, legal, and external advisors.
· Sound understanding of IFRS accounting principles and their interaction with tax reporting and consolidation processes.
· Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
· Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting software.
· High integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgement in managing sensitive information.
