The IT company Andersen invites a Solution Architect to join its team for working with a company from the USA.
The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world's airlines. The network consists of major airlines that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of merchants around the world for air, rail, cruise and travel agency payments.
The project is a payment technology that will enhance the efficiency and profitability of merchant payment operations through a comprehensive, airline-centric payment platform.
Responsibilities:
- Developing a detailed infrastructure for AWS managed services based on the current AWS-based prepared architecture from the pre-sale phase.
- Analyzing the portability of the UCL from AWS to Azure and GCP.
- Proposing and evaluating alternative deployment models for non-portable components, such as self-managed (not preferred, but possible) or cloud-hosted equivalents.
- Defining a detailed architecture for the default on-premise deployment scenario, based on AWS and/or comparable technologies (e.g., OpenShift), including infrastructure requirements and operational considerations to meet the goal "cloud-portable on-prem".
- Assessing container workload orchestration strategies across cloud and on-prem environments, e.g., Kubernetes-based platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift), and documenting patterns for hybrid workload portability.
- Collaborating closely with Security, Data, and Solution Architects to ensure alignment of all cloud and on-prem strategies with enterprise standards, compliance requirements, and global deployment goals.
- Supporting effort estimation, architecture documentation, and risk/impact analysis for each deployment model in planning and stakeholder decision-making; preparing costs for the infrastructure.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Solution Architect for 5-8 years.
- Proven experience in the financial domain, particularly in large-scale payment processing systems.
- Experience in infrastructure architecture.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and security standards, including: PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2.
- Proficiency in working with cloud-agnostic architectures, supporting deployment across: AWS, Azure, On-Premise.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS managed services.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Ability to analyze and evaluate the portability of components across different cloud platforms.
- Expertise in defining detailed architectures for both cloud and on-premise deployment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
- Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.
