Day to Day Tasks:

Accurately record financial transactions in the ERP system (SAP), including handling invoices and credit notes

Ensure financial records are prepared in accordance with IFRS, with particular attention to accounting issues common in retail operations

Maintain and account for leases of retail locations, warehouses, and equipment. Ensure accurate lease liability and right-of-use asset recognition, including lease modifications, renewals, and discount rate adjustments.

Manage the end-to-end accounting of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfer, and disposal in compliance with company policy and IFRS

Maintain the fixed asset register in SAP, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and regularly updated.

Calculate and record monthly depreciation and ensure appropriate alignment with the asset's useful life and business usage

Assist in the preparation and submission of tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax, ensuring compliance with local regulations and deadlines

Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

Monitor changes in tax regulations and support the department in ensuring compliance

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Monitor and adhere to deadlines associated with accounting-related tasks

Foster a collaborative environment by actively supporting other departments, providing expertise and assistance when required

How you match:

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a retail or fast-paced environment

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial management

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
