We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our group finance team. As a member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements, ensure accuracy, and enhance the efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Mydata requirements and perform all the necessary actions through the accounting software and AADE
  • Record and process accounting entries and perform the accounting procedures regarding the Fixed Assets
  • Manage the cash transactions and accounts reconciliations
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the financial systems and the processes
  • Participate in the preparation of the tax declarations (VAT, withheld taxes, list of contracts, VIES, etc) and their proper submission
  • Support the contact with the Tax Authorities and the General Commercial Register (GEMH)
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statements and reporting in compliance with the Greek GAAP and IFRS
  • Manage ad hoc projects and participate actively in the required accounting activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Further relevant studies at a post-graduate level will be considered a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Greek GAAP. ACCA or IFRS diploma will be considered as an asset
  • Maximum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Working experience as a tax or statutory auditor will be considered a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point) with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
