As part of its development Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks for a Senior Project Manager (Operations).

The Senior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination and monitoring of projects, ensuring that they are completed according to requirements and schedules. She/He will collaborate with teams and external partners for the timely and smooth progress of the projects.

The position reports to the Operations Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement projects aimed at meeting business needs, aligning with the company's strategy, and creating measurable value
  • Monitor tasks, update schedules, basic risk management, support the use of PM tools, mentor junior PMs, and advanced communication with stakeholders
  • Timely and quality completion of projects through effective coordination
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and master schedules
  • Implement strategic methodologies to manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Monitor KPIs, create dashboards and evaluate project performance
  • Guide project teams and foster a culture of project excellence
  • Coordinate communication between teams and partners
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, technical and tax frameworks
  • Apply lessons learned and continuously improve PMO methodologies
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in project or program management
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Masters degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related area will be considered an asset
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of tools like MS Project, Jira, , Power BI dashboards, etc
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects
