NTT Data Greece team is looking for a Network Engineer in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Network Administrator to support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with foundational networking knowledge who is eager to grow in a dynamic IT environment.

Your role:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and high-performance network infrastructure to support enterprise operations.
• Working with a wide range of technologies and platforms to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and scalability across environments.
• Configuring and managing network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Administering and troubleshooting firewalls including Cisco ASA and Juniper SRX.
• Managing and optimizing network and security platforms such as Juniper NSM and Junos Space.
• Supporting switching and routing infrastructure using Cisco Nexus, Cisco ISR, and managing Production, vMotion, and Management VLANs.
• Implementing and maintaining load balancing solutions using F5 BIG-IP.
• Collaborating with virtualization teams to support VMware, Citrix, and containerized environments.
• Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
• Ensuring network security, availability, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Documenting network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
• Providing support for network-related incidents and participating in on-call rotations as needed.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in informatics or a similar field of study, or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and routing technologies (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and Juniper SRX firewalls.
• Proficiency in managing Juniper NSM and Junos Space platforms.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and ISR devices in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP load balancers and their configuration.
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization, Citrix environments, and containerization technologies.
• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, F5-CTS) are a plus.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.

• You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).

• This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs.
