CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Infrastructure, Networks, Mobility and Logistics Department of the Hellenic Institute of Transport (CERTH-HIT) is looking for a
Senior IT Systems and Network Administrator
to join its team.

We invite experienced professionals to express their interest in offering their services in the following areas:

  • Management and maintenance of IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and smooth system operation (hardware & software)
  • Administration of servers, networks, and IT tools
  • Installation, configuration, and upgrades of hardware and software
  • System security management (access controls, backups, firewalls) and incident response: Participate in the detection, reporting, and mitigation of security incidents
  • Monitoring and fine-tuning of logs and performance
  • Backup planning, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Troubleshooting system outages and user support
  • User account and workstation setup
  • Evaluation and implementation of new technologies

Required qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in systems and network administration
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Linux/Unix systems, and virtualization technologies (HyperV)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration and Active Directory (certification is a plus)
  • Experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls (certification is a plus)
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus

Availability for on-site support at CERTH Headquarters (6th km Charilaou-Thermi Rd, 57001 Thermi, Thessaloniki) is required.
