The Role

As a
Fashion Buyer Childrenware
you will play a key role in shaping the company's product assortment and driving commercial success. You will be responsible for selecting and ordering products, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring sales, profit, and stock targets are achieved.

Your Mission in the Team

  • Product selection and order input
  • Ensure sales and commercial targets are met, including net sales, gross profit, and stock health levels for assigned categories
  • Review, negotiate, and improve commercial agreement terms with all vendors
  • Conduct market research to identify new product trends and opportunities, optimizing the assortment based on operational and profit targets
  • Collaborate with operations team on scheduling shipments, planning stock levels per location, and managing replenishment processes
  • Organize the Category Buying Process and propose the annual buying budget according to the company business plan
  • Develop a competitive promotion roadmap in collaboration with the marketing and digital departments, and create go-to-market training plans for all channels
  • Attend all appointments, participating in the selection and editing of products
  • Analyze and review previous week's sales with the merchandising department to propose and drive actions for the upcoming week
  • Prepare and present performance reports in trade meetings
  • Act as the company's ambassador in all appointments with suppliers and attend all trade shows

What We Are Looking for in You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or Information Technology-Master's degree preferably in marketing or MBA will be considered as a plus
  • Prior knowledge of wholesale or retail is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, negotiation, relationship management, problem solving)
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a cross-functional team
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Solution oriented and open minded to new ways of working
  • Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment with high level of ambiguity
  • Fluent in English both written and orally is a must.
  • Strong Computer skills incl. Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
