We are looking for a Database Developer to join our team and who will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. As part of our IT team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our database systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage requests through the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with departments within the organization to translate business requirements into system requirements
  • Resolve the incoming requests in a time efficient manner under the specific SLAs
  • Implement various development, testing and automation tasks
  • Assess, address and resolve software bugs
  • Develop, implement and optimize SQL routines

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or any other relevant field
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with database development on MS SQL Server and experience with large database deployments
  • Ability to write SQL code, avoiding deadlocks and other performance and consistency issues
  • knowledge of Python is a strong plus
  • knowledge of Power BI, ETL, etc. will be considered as a plus
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
