The Role:

We are looking for an accomplished
Data and Analytics Engineer

to join our highly motivated and dedicated team of data engineering and analytics professionals. In this role, you will help design and deliver automated data pipelines using modern data processing frameworks, enabling workflows that cleanse, transform, and prepare data for our eSHARE data lake. We are looking for a self-organized individual with a proactive mindset and the attitude towards automating anything possible in the workflow. Our teams are working in a fast-paced environment with agile methods. We prioritize incremental iteration and continuous improvements over knowing all the details from the start. 

The role is
on-site

at least for the first 2-4 months (onboarding period). After that period, there will be a
hybrid

work model option (2 remote – 3 on site).

Description:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end to end business intelligence solutions, crafting and executing etl flows, data analysis queries upon request for data, and presenting information through reports and visualizations.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and performant data pipelines.
• Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize and analyze complex data sets.
• Maintain and curate the data models and data flows that encompass data ingestion from raw sources up to reports.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on report usage and best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with a strong background in data architecture, pipeline development, and BI integration.
• Good knowledge of Apache Spark and streaming ETL frameworks (e.g., Spark Structured Streaming, Flink, Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
• Good knowledge of dimensional and relational modeling.
• Understanding of database management systems, ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks, and SQL language.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines on cloud ecosystem, bonus if it is Azure (including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse/SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Databricks).
• Experience creating interactive reports and dashboards.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Azure boards, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce high quality, accurate reports from high-level requirements.
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
