We are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer
 to join our Data Office team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the data pipelines and ensure alignment with data governance, quality and compliance standards, in line with the approved data architecture
  • Design, update & maintain data lineage & dictionary along with data analyst, in relevant systems – in collaboration with IT asset owners and the IT Unit
  • Develop and test DQ¹ controls and remediation actions in testing environment and propose tested solutions for implementation to the responsible asset owners
  • Perform data manipulation and transformation in testing environment to support the achievement of data governance objectives and requirements
  • Establish data governance standards and best practices for data quality and security, including the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and architecture

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience
    in Data Engineering Area. Consulting and banking experience is preferred
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Economics or related discipline. Master's Degree will be considered as an asset

Core Competencies & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably Azure Infrastructure (Azure Data Warehouse, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks & Microsoft Purview)
  • Strong Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python) proficiency in database management, strong skills in developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines
  • Knowledge of Data Architecture, design and implementing new data structures would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
  • Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Greek and in English
