Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Data Engineer will include

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to support AI and data analytics on Azure.
• Work closely with data scientists and architects to ensure data availability and consistency for machine learning models.
• Utilize Azure Databricks and other services for advanced data processing, analytics, and machine learning tasks, optimizing performance and scalability.
• Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and other relevant tools.
• Implement and optimize data storage and retrieval using Azure storage services.
• Ensure data governance policies are applied to data ingestion, storage, and processing.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across data systems.
• Monitor and maintain data workflows and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on dissecting complex data challenges and delivering actionable insights.
• Effectiveness in communicating complex data engineering concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers in Azure-specific technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Big Data or Cloud projects in the areas of processing and visualization of large and unstructured datasets.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse technologies, SQL, and ETL processes.
• Expertise in building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, and Azure Storage Accounts.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data optimization in cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and programming skills (Python, Spark).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools (e.g Azure Pureview) and security protocols.
• Familiarity with big data technologies, real-time streaming and batch processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment.
• Excellent knowledge of English language (written and verbal).

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

Nice to have:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
