Overseas Technical Surveys Coordinator, Marine Surveyor

Location
: Kalimbassieris Maritime Head Office, Piraeus.

About the role
:

We are seeking to employ a highly motivated young marine surveyor/technical surveys' coordinator to join our team in Piraeus, Head Office.

Candidates must have
:

Previous shore experience with a Classification Society, orShip repairs in a Yard/Workshop or the Technical Department of a Shipping Company, alternative a sea going background.

You will be part of our Survey Operations Management in Greece and will actively work with the Group's technical teams in the foreign offices.

Key responsibilities
:

  • Work with the Group's technical teams abroad, analyse findings and contribute to technical claims assessment.
  • Maintain focus on ensuring a continuing comprehensive service, quality control and on the job training and development.
  • Collaborate closely with claims teams in Greece and Foreign Offices.
  • Conduct own technical surveys in Greece and abroad.

Candidate profile
:

  • 3-5 years marine engineering experience ashore or onboard, previous marine surveying experience will be a plus
  • Excellent command of English, fluency in maritime and/or insurance terminology will be an advantage
  • Comfortable working within multicultural teams, capable of collaborating across time zones and geographies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
