Junior Data Scientist

Cerved Property Services (CPS), from 2019 is part of Cerved Group and one of the largest real estate companies in Greece and SE Europe. Consists of an experienced and certified team aiming to deliver exemplary services to all spectrum of clients in specialized scopes of practice grouped in five basic pillars: Valuations, Asset Management, Energy & Property Facilities Management, Market Research & Analytics and Technical Projects.

Starting from July 2021, CPS is also a certified member of the European AVM Alliance (abbr. EAA), a European association of leading providers in the area of Automated Valuation Models (abbr. AVMs) that guarantees reliable and qualitative solutions in modern day valuation field.

In order to strengthen our structure we are looking for a junior Data Scientist, who will be joining our Innovation & Transformation team in Athens.

In particular, key responsibilities of the role include:

• Playing a key role in owning and maintaining the core processes and business products that support the day-to-day operations of CPS's divisions and the Group as a whole.
• Exploring and utilizing diverse data sources related to the Real Estate Market across the Group.

• Depicting business insights in a code basis level

• Aiding the design and production of periodic Real Estate Market Reports.

• Developing our analytical capabilities, researching related technologies and approaches, enabling other areas of the Group

• Collaborating with external partners of the Division to deliver our business products as software or service solutions through our trademarked platforms.
• Participating in multi-division project teams for the implementation of demanding projects

The person we are looking for:

• Holds a University or Technical University Degree (BA/BS), in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Has an M.Sc. in Data Science or Business Analytics
• 1 to 2 years experience in Programming. Knowledge of R is considered pivotal, while other programming languages such as Python are considered an extra.
• Familiarity with R libraries for handling geographical data (e.g. sp, rgdal, rgeos etc.) will be considered favorably
• Experience with cloud platform AWS will be considered a plus
• Familiarity with data visualization frameworks/libraries (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, ggplot, leaflet, Matplotlib, Seaborn etc)
• Has an excellent command of the English language (proficiency level)
• Has an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel)
• Has a positive attitude to learn & improve while showcases team spirit, organization skills and flexibility
• Is oriented to results and can act with a sense of responsibility/ownership while taking initiatives

The position is based in Athens; currently a part of the role will be performed remote.
