About the Role:

We are looking for a Project Manager (EU funded R&D Projects) to lead the coordination and management of innovative technological solutions and services within the environmental sector. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of National, European, or international research and technology programs, in cooperation with universities, research institutes, SMEs, other industries and public organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complexities and exciting opportunities of these projects. Your main responsibilities will revolve around developing and managing the innovation ecosystem for Cyclefi, identifying opportunities and coordinating innovation funding and research activities, as well as managing their participation in innovation and research initiatives that match Cyclefi' strategic priorities. Requirements

What You 'll Be Doing:

· Expand and managing the innovation ecosystem for Cyclefi

· Develop consortia for innovation funding initiatives

· Cooperate with general management and innovation ecosystem for concept drafting

· Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including local and regional authorities, technology contractors, research institutions, and other consortium members across different European countries.

· Consortium building (identify, communicate, and negotiate with existing and potential consortium partners)

· Monitor, research and report on European (e.g. Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Creative Europe, etc.), regional and national funding schemes to identify opportunities matching the priorities of Cyclefi

· Lead submission processes. Prepare, submit and review research proposals

· Manage full portfolio of research and innovation funding proposals and projects

· Keep track of proposal evaluation processes, results and feedback

· Manage full lifecycle of funded projects, from initiation to closing, ensuring timely delivery within project workplan and quality standards

· Coordinate internal resources and consortium partners to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals

· Monitor progress through project plans, risk management, and financial tracking, ensuring compliance with EU funding rules and reporting requirements.

· Prepare and submit technical, financial, and administrative reports to funding agencies and internal stakeholders.

· Represent the organization in project meetings, workshops, conferences, and other external events.

· Ensure proper management of project documentation, Intellectual Property (IP) rights, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Required:

  • University Degree in relevant technical area (Engineering or equivalent).
  • Master's degree in relevant management or technical area.
  • At least three (3) years of proven experience in Project Coordination of EU funded programs (e.g. Horizon) or National Research Projects (e.g. Research & Innovate), with a strong understanding of funding mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Availability to travel across Europe for consortium meetings and project coordination.
  • A research-oriented mindset, combined with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Profound skills in project planning, execution, and management, ensuring deliverables meet the specific objectives and requirements of EU-funded initiatives.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Solid experience in leading or contributing significantly to the development of R&D proposals for EU funding.
  • Knowledge of the International Environmental (Waste, Energy, Water) Research and Technology domain.
  • Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Data Spaces, Simulations
