ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of a leading company in the food industry, is seeking a highly skilled and driven professional for the position of:

Quality & R&D Manager (Ref. 5985/QRD/ESS/GR)

About the Role:

The Quality & R&D Manager will have full oversight of all production processes and is expected to develop an in‑depth understanding of the company's products. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every stage of production meets the highest quality standards while driving continuous innovation through research and development. The position entails direct supervision of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and R&D teams, with a hands‑on approach in the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of all production processes and product specifications by closely monitoring operations on the factory floor
  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and R&D departments, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals
  • Develop, implement and monitor quality systems and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations (ISO, HACCP, BRC, IFS, etc.)
  • Drive R&D initiatives for new product development, recipe optimization and improvement of existing product lines
  • Oversee audits (internal, external, customer) and ensure prompt implementation of corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent product quality and cost efficiency
  • Monitor KPIs, prepare regular reports and provide recommendations to senior management for quality improvements and innovation opportunities

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα:

Candidate Profile:

  • University degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. A Master's degree will be considered an asset
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in Quality Management and R&D roles within the food industry
  • Demonstrated skills in quality management systems (e.g. ISO 22000, ISO 9001, BRC, IFS, Certified Food Safety Management System HACCP ELOT 1416, Quality Management DIN EN 9001:2000 are required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
