Tax Accountant

Work4u is seeking for an in house Tax Accountant
on behalf of our client, an international freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain Management Company. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's tax activities, ensuring compliance with tax laws, my Data, preparing tax returns, VAT and assisting with audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax compliance:
  Ensure the organization adheres to all federal, state, and local tax laws by preparing and filing accurate tax returns and estimated payments.
• Research:
  Stay current on new and revised tax laws by conducting detailed tax research and analyzing the impact of tax changes.
• Audit support:
  Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
• Reporting and analysis:
  Compile financial data and prepare reports, such as tax provision schedules.
• Workflow improvement:
  Recommend procedures to improve tax-related processes.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Education: bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: above 2 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Technical skills: Proficiency with tax software and accounting programs.
• Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Greek/ English).
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) can be advantageous.
