We are hiring a
Venture Capital Analyst
to join our team.

Job Brief:
The Venture Capital Analyst will be responsible for analyzing tech companies to identify suitable investment targets looking at a variety of factors including, management team competence, product offering appeal, commercialization model validity, financial soundness, path to profitability and other metrics. The candidate will also be tasked with identifying new investment opportunities, helping to manage current investments, providing assistance in value crystallization alternative analysis or even implementation.

Role Objective: Present evaluation of Venture Capital investment opportunities to fund's Investment Committee based on analysis of available information and search for new industries or technologies that could be attractive investment opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Research new industries, technologies or companies that could present attractive investment opportunities.

· Recommend specific venture capital investment opportunities based on analysis of available information.

· Interview management teams to determine strategy, goals, objectives, and motivations. Evaluate quality of team and ability to deliver on vision and strategy.

· Conduct detailed financial, business plan, liquidity and valuation analysis for the purposes of prospective investment evaluation.

· Prepare detailed reports and presentations regarding prospective investments.

· Perform commercial, financial and other due diligence as appropriate for prospective investments and/or coordinate other related advisors

· Support as appropriate legal experts in terms of Legal Due Diligence on prospective investments.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other closely related field from a top-tier institution – Master's degree in such areas would be considered a plus

· Strong analysis, synthesis and problem-solving abilities, motivation and initiative

· Record of accomplishment of both academic and professional success.

· Strong understanding of business practices as well as professional experience in corporate environments and working with teams

· Solid understanding of Accounting and Finance, some experience in financial modelling – experience in company valuation would be considered a plus

· Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint knowledge.

· Excellent command of the English language

· Strong knowledge of and keen interest on the Venture Capital industry.
