Venergy Maritime, located in Piraeus, is looking to recruit an Accountant.

Position Requirements
- Supporting the issuance of financial statements in line with reporting standards.
- Participation in budgeting and monitoring OPEX results (Actual vs Budget).
- Assisting in cash management activities and liquidity forecasting.
- Monitoring Accounts Receivable, including Revenue/TCE reporting.
- Handling the Accounts Payable process, including communication with Greek and foreign vendors for statements reconciliation and invoice processing matters.
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy and ensuring proper payment preparation.
- Verifying and preparing remittances in collaboration with other departments.
- Involvement in the preparation of accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
- Handling the MGA reconciliation process and recording related accounting entries.
- Reviewing the Trial Balance of companies to ensure accuracy.
- Involvement in vessel inventory consumption/ROB valuations and preparation of relevant FIFO calculations.
- Supporting the preparation of quarterly VAT submissions.
- Handling MyData reconciliation for Greek invoices.
- Preparation of any other ad hoc accounting tasks (both internal and external) as requested.
Candidate Profile
- University degree in Accounting / Finance fields.
- Public accountant training (i.e. ACCA, JES, IESOEL) will be considered an asset.
- 5 to 8 years of working experience in a similar position in the field of Accounting.
- Experience in the shipping industry, is required.
- Experience in auditing of shipping companies in a Big4 firm will be considered an asset.
- Fluency in both written and oral communication in English.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with SAP will be considered an asset.
- Organizational and time management skills, proactive approach, attention to detail and teamwork.
