The Goal
The Data Science team is looking for a
Senior Machine Learning Engineer
that will be responsible for
creating pre-match and in-play sports betting forecasting models
.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Analyse and process data from our data repositories to extract actionable insights.
• Develop, evaluate and document state-of-the-art machine learning models tailored to betting markets.
• Design, implement, test and document automated model pipelines using coding best practices.
• Build, extend, and maintain MLOps infrastructure to enable efficient and scalable machine learning operations
• Demonstrate and advocate best engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop automated model monitoring and retraining workflows to ensure robustness and accuracy over time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
• Effectively convey the key principles and components underlying our models to stakeholders.

The Player
What You'll Bring

• An advanced degree (Postgraduate/Master's/PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant role (or 3+ years of experience alongside a PhD).
• Strong expertise in advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., Neural Networks, Random Forests, Support Vector Machines).
• Knowledge of probabilistic modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, Time-Series Analysis etc.)
• Proficiency in Python (including frameworks like NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch) and SQL; familiarity with best OOP practices and ML pipeline automation.
• Hands-on experience productionizing machine learning solutions for real-world applications.
• Proficiency in MLOps, model deployment and CI/CD for ML workflows.
• Experience with cloud services (one of AWS, Azure cloud, GCP) and version control systems such as Git.

Nice to Haves

• Understanding of sports betting markets and related concepts.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C# and Java.
• Experience working with Big Data tools such as Apache Spark.
